| | Darby shares a house near campus with several friends. The day after the freezing rain finally stopped she called and said they were had no power, no heat, were out of wood and food, and would I please come get her and bring her home. Oh yeah, you bet I would. So I fired up our most excellent four-wheel drive vehicle and eased across town. It wasn't as bad as I expected it to be, but plenty bad enough.
Got her home where we enjoyed a day of visiting, working, studying, etc., but the next day dawned with the promise of clear blue skies and rising temperatures and Darby said, Let's go out and take some pictures! Well, you don't have to prod me twice. She dressed up, Dana did her hair and makeup, and we went out for fun in the ice.
The pictures are all within a few yards of our front door, and the yard is a horrible mess with downed branches and trees, but we wanted to capture some contrast of lovely vs torn up, and also just have fun with girl in ice! So here is a collage with a few of Darby's favorite shots. The rest will be up on Pictage as soon as we can get them sorted! Thanks Darby, for a great idea and being a great model - too bad Shannon wasn't here, we could've had twice the fun!!
